Here are three photos that won’t mean much to you but mean everything to me. They explain why I love wedding albums. The first is from my parents’ wedding in 1945, a beautiful sepia print in a classic folder. Young as he looks, Dad had just returned from five years at war. The girl on the left is his younger sister. Seven years later she married the young man on the right. Like my parents they were together for 55 years. The other woman is my mother’s best friend. I remember her, but she died quite young. The other uniformed man is my father’s best friend. I’m writing To View More >>

In many markets Covid is likely to limit the size of weddings —  and therefore wedding photography — for some months yet. What that means…  • This year albums will be very important as a way to maximise revenue and profit from wedding clients — both current To View More >>

We love it when one of our staff members gets an album made for themselves. We spend most of our time creating handmade products for photographers, but we like to walk the talk when it comes to printing our photos. Maddy works in the Queensberry bindery and she's let us share her Portrait Album with you. Take a look.  "I made my own scrapbook style photo albums when I was younger and printed photos to frame. This is the second Queensberry album I've made.  "I wanted to make a gift for my partner, Simba, to celebrate the adventures we’ve had together so far, including a To View More >>

This week's 'Album of the Week' goes to Ian and Emma from Ian Scott Photography. "We had the pleasure of meeting with Sarah and Ben several times before the wedding day," Emma says. "First at their pre-wedding shoot, then at the studio for newborn photographs of their baby daughter. They were so chilled out we knew we would have a great day capturing their wedding."  The album is a 14x10 Fine Art Flushmount with a Sahara Faux Leather cover. "Their  wedding venue, Offley Place, is a beautiful country house hotel in Great Offley.  A picturesque setting for a wedding To View More >>

After a little wedding invitation inspiration? From Mashable... "Two German geeks/gamers just upped the ante when it comes to wedding invitations. The pair programed two versions of a Mario-inspired 8-bit video game as their wedding invitations and sent them out to friends and family. Guests are challenged to beat the game should they wish to unlock the wedding details. Their video game wedding invitations — dubbed Incredible Adventure — also included some custom packaging and two different versions of the game so would-be guests could play as either the bride or the groom. Being half way across the world (literally!) I couldn’t have felt further away from the Royal Wedding two years ago. But after reading photographer Gavin Dickson’s description of the day, it transported my mind back to Westminster Abbey, and I re-lived the wonder, expectation and emotion all over again! Gavin said that at the time of the Royal Wedding he was "Chief Photographer at the Express & Star, the United Kingdom's biggest selling regional newspaper and I knew a couple of months in advance that I'd be photographing the Royal wedding in London.” Gavin was one of the few To View More >>
